Adobe Photoshop Gradients

I made Lele's birthday page and I'd like to share with you the use of tvlines and gradient that was used to make the lele image.
lele

Here's how:

1. Load an image

This image had been previously created using extraction technique , layering and colorizing (image >adjust >hue/saturation>enable colorize and preview.)

2. To add tv lines. First, download tv lines photoshop action.

4. Place tvlines.atn in your adobe photoshop directory adobe>actions. If actions folder isn't there, just create it.

5. Load tv lines actions. Go to windows>show actions. The actions window will appear. Just click 1,2 as shown below , select tvlines to load. This is how you will load all other photoshop actions (check this out too) that you might download some day.

6. Play the tv lines action and let it do the work.

7. After you have played the tv lines photoshop action, the result will be like this:

8. To add the gradient and have that blended look. Go to layer>layer style>gradient overlay

9. Once the gradient window is open, select the color you want. In this case, light purple was used.

10. The final product is what you see in Lele's birthday page.
